2023 - a year for making progress in my photography.
After returning from Ol Pejeta in September 2022 I was disappointed with my photographs, it was obvious I didn't know what I was doing. This made me determined to improve, take it more seriously and in December 2022 started to plan my personal development.
Throughout the year I have attended courses, taken part in on-line courses, workshops, photography experiences and chatted to my peers, upgraded my equipment and as you can see invested more time. It has all led to a vast improvement. However, I am not settling here, 2024 will see my invest yet more time and energy to take photographs which I and others like and that one can see the improvements.
Highlights:
- Big Cat Sanctuary photos improve
- Watching the Jags at Paradise Wildlife Park
- Photographing the Scottish Wildcat Kittens at the British Wildlife Centre
- Wild Deer, Pine Martin sighting, White Tailed Sea Eagles and Otters in Scotland
- Kenya - wow, just wow! Lion fights, Leopard sightings, Cheetah, met the last two Northern Whites Rhinos again plus much more
- Bushy Park Red Deer - possibly a bit too close as they came towards me
- 2023 also saw my photos used by others and published in three UK newspapers. Fingers crossed for more of these in the next year.
Plans are afoot to visit many different places throughout the UK, plus again to Kenya in June and at the same time stretching my abilities and improving my techniques.
